Powering the future of virtual events
About "Symphony"
In 2020, COVID-19 changed the world in a way that very few could have predicted. The events industry was no exception.
Event organizers rushed to adapt their content, format, and audience engagement for a virtual environment.
The Cadence platform was created to provide a schedule, materials, and messaging for in-person events. To support virtual, we built a new flagship feature for live sessions and meetings called Symphony.
Picture Zoom, but more powerful and catered to the needs of event organizers and production teams.
Symphony was different because it offered what our users needed most: the ability to cast live or pre-recorded video streams, presentation slides, and live poll questions. It also offered built-in messaging and Q&A functionality for attendees.

About Cadence
Cadence is a platform for managing and experiencing in-person and virtual events. It’s used for live sessions, messaging, event materials, networking, customer engagement, registration, live polling, leaderboards, and more. Some of the most respected organizations use Cadence to take their events to the next level.
Symphony was an especially challenging product to develop because the engineering team lacked experience in implementing streaming technologies, the support team had to troubleshoot technical customer issues, and the design and product team had to work around the product only being available for web at launch.
Despite the uncertainty brought by the pandemic and challenges faced by the team, the launch of Symphony in 2021 fueled the company's financial growth (the team doubled in size).
